Rapper 50 Cent has pleaded not guilty to domestic violence and vandalism charges involving his ex-girlfriend.
The 38-year-old performer, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, did not speak during a hearing in Los Angeles.
He was charged after Daphne Narvarez, the mother of his child, reported he had smashed up her Toluca Lake home, broken down the door to the bedroom she had locked herself in and kicked her during an argument.
Police said property worth $7,100 (£4,650) was destroyed.
Broken chandeliers and damaged furniture were found throughout the woman’s apartment.
If convicted of the charges relating to the June 23 incident, Jackson faces up to five years in jail and $46,000 (£30,000) in fines.
He had previously been in a three-year relationship with Ms Narvarez.
The Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ artist was ordered to return to court on September 4 and told to stay away from Ms Narvarez, not to make calls to her and to get rid of his weapons.
