In its continueous bid to enhance and empower the lifestyle of its customers, Samsung Electronics Tanzania announced the launch of its two new products airconditioner and freezer catalogue. The electronic giants started by unveiling the new trianglular design airconditoner an innovative design that allows for an increased air flow which results in a faster cooling of home/office environment. This was followed by its Duracool chest freezer built for both consumer and commercial use.
The event which was held in Dar es Salaam Serena hotel was also a platform for the gathering of key Samsung dealers from around the region. With Samsung’s vision of being Tanzania’s leading consumer electonics supplier, this was an opportunity to meet the dealers and distributors who are key to their perfomance in the industry.
Speaking during the launch event the Manager for Consumer Electronics Business Mr. Raghu Shetty spoke of the purpose of launching the devices in the presence of their dealers stating that “it was imperative to launch our new freezer and airconditioner with our dealers and distributors as they are largely influential in how these products perform in the Tanzanian market. They are reliable and offer our customers to easily get the many services that come with our products”.

The Freezer and AC are part of a line of Samsung consumer electronics that are specifically built to deal with the Tanzanian conditions. They both come with various features that make them the perfect items for the modern Tanzanian house hold. Mr. Raghu commented on how “research and design play a key role in the way Samsung Electronics develops its products for the Tanzanian market. We are focused on the continuos improvement of the lifestyle and experience of our customers”. The statement is backed by the many features of the products. The freezer on one hand comes with an inbuilt stabilizer voltage control which guards the consumer from potential damage caused from eratic electricity and power surges. This whilst maintaining a stylish design and a fast freezing feature that freezes at speeds twice faster than normal freezers. And where conventional AC’s may take a while to cool the average Tanzanian home, the Triangular design AC is innovatively designed to cool the home faster, farther and wider.
Mr Raghu concluded the launch by stating how “With a host of features that are specifically created to serve the needs and wants of our customers, we as Samsung Electronics Tanzania are optimistic of the perfomance of these products in the Tanzanian market”.
SAMSUNG TRIANGLE AC
DESIGN THAT CHANGES THE FLOW:
Designed to be outstandingly efficient, its uniquely triangular design has a wider inlet, wider outlet and a bigger fan to ensure that air is cooled and expelled faster (26%), farther (14m meters) and wider (2 x wider) – reaching every corner.
DIGITAL INVERTER TECHNOLOGY:
The new air conditioner features an energy-efficient Digital Inverter Technology with EER 10.1. It can maintain the desired temperature without frequently shutting off and on, so it consumes less energy. The Digital Inverter Technology helps users to stay comfortable for long periods, while using the minimum amount of energy.
In addition, the new air conditioner begins cooling the air fast using its powerful Fast Cool mode, so it gets there quickly. It then automatically changes the mode to Comfort Cool to maintain the desired temperature. Users will not feel cold and do not have to keep manually changing the settings or turning the air conditioner on and off.
CAPACITY CONTROL FOR EFFECTIVE USE OF ENERGY:
Energy efficiency is a key purchasing decision for consumers. The Samsung Air Conditioner’s Single User mode uses less compressor capacity, reducing power consumption, while still providing a cool and comfortable environment. This ensures that users will not have to worry about the electricity bill even as the only person in a room.
